Oral and Maxillofacial


Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons means those individuals who have completed a post-graduate curriculum from an accredited institution of higher learning and are board-certified or board-eligible in oral and maxillofacial surgery. They are regional specialist surgeons treating the entire craniomaxillofacial complex: anatomical area of the mouth, jaws, face, skull, as well as associated structures. Oral and maxillofacial surgery means that part of dental practice which deals with the diagnosis and surgical and adjunctive treatment of diseases, injuries, and defects of the oral and maxillofacial regions.
