Advantages of Invisalign® Clear Braces in Children

1. Comfortable braces, no pain when wearing the braces

The main problem with braces in children and adolescents is that if the braces are uncomfortable, they may not cooperate with the braces. Therefore, the clear braces for children and adolescents are designed to be only 0.75 millimeters thick, making them comfortable to wear, not hurting the gums because they only grip the teeth, not affecting the child’s speech or pronunciation in any way.

2. Easy to clean

If children wear metal braces, they will not be able to brush their teeth well, have difficulty cleaning their teeth, and are at risk of tooth decay if they are not properly cleaned. However, clear braces for children can be removed, making them easier to clean.

3. Short braces period

Metal braces are adjusted from thin wires to large wires gradually over the first 8-10 months. However, Invisalign® clear braces for children and adolescents do not have a step to adjust the wires. The dentist will use plastic to cover the aligners, which can shorten the orthodontic treatment period by an average of 10 months, as well as reduce the frequency of visits to the dentist, since the Invisalign® aligners need to be checked on average every 8-10 weeks.

Review of Invisalign® First clear braces experience, Phase 1 of Nong Luther

Nong Luther has problems with protruding upper teeth, crooked lower teeth, and narrow lower teeth curvature, which makes him not confident in smiling. Nong told his mother that he wanted to get braces himself. So the doctor used Invisalign First to reduce the protrusion of the teeth along with widening the curvature of the teeth to prepare the area for the permanent teeth to grow.

The result is that the protrusion of the teeth is reduced, the teeth are better aligned, and Nong is more confident in smiling. After this, if Nong’s permanent teeth have fully grown, she will move on to the details with Phase 2.
