Daily Oral Care:

  • Brushing: Brush at least twice a day, focusing along the gum line around the veneers. Use a soft-bristled toothbrush and a gentle toothpaste.
  • Flossing: Floss at least once or twice daily to remove food particles and plaque between teeth.
  • Mouthwash: Use a fluoride mouthwash before bed. Swish for about 1 minute and avoid eating or drinking for 30 minutes afterward.

Dietary and Behavioral Precautions:

  • Avoid hard foods: Do not bite or chew hard foods such as ice, nuts, or very sticky foods to prevent damage to the veneers.
  • Avoid misuse of teeth: Do not use teeth to open bottles or perform other tasks that could damage the veneers.
  • Avoid staining foods and drinks: Limit intake of coffee, tea, dark sodas, and red wine. If consumed, brush or rinse your mouth promptly afterward.

If Problems Occur:

  • Tooth sensitivity or gum discomfort: Mild discomfort is normal and usually resolves within 2–3 days. If pain is severe or persists, contact your dentist.
  • Veneer damage: If a veneer chips, cracks, or has any other issues, see your dentist immediately.
  • Teeth grinding (bruxism): If you grind your teeth at night, consult your dentist for a night guard.

Dental Check-Ups:

  • Visit your dentist every 6 months for routine oral health exams and to check the condition of your veneers.
